Town of Lyons Water & Wastewater District (Wasterwater Facility Improvements)
Project Date: 2004 & 2005
The Town of Lyons, in Colorado has been experiencing tremendous residential growth. To support this growth the town retained a team to begin to design and build the new improvements. The Town of Lyons was satisfied with the high quality of work for the first project and hired Dan's Custom Construction to continue the work on the remained of the projects. The improvements included a new lift station facility, install a new UV system to the wastewater treatment process, and to upgrade the influent pump processing. Dan's Custom Construction built a new wastewater lift station with a wet valve and installation of Gorman-Rupp pumping system to serve a new 400 home development. The second project included replacement of a main influent pump which required custom installation to replace a vertical pumping system with a more efficient Gorman-Rupp pump. The final project included designing and installing an entire new Ultra Violate light disinfection process to the town's wastewater system. This required construction of a custom fabricated building for the new system and routing of the water flow back to the St. Vrain River.
